Australian War Memorial (Research Centre) The sound collection consists of period music, radio interviews and programs which are in any way concerned with Australia's involvement in war and armed conflict, as well as oral history recordings. There are over 5,000 items in this collection. The only part of the sound collection available to the public is the Keith Murdoch Sound Archive. |

State Library of Victoria The collection consists of music and non-music recordings in various formats such as compact disc, laser disc, cassette and reel tapes, both video and sound. The recorded music collection aims to include, at a selective level, all periods, places, styles, genres and movements in Western music, together with some coverage of music from other cultures. Areas covered include opera, instrumental music, rock/pop music, choral music, folk and ethnic music, jazz and film soundtracks. There is a particularly strong emphasis on the works of Australian composers and artists. |
